I'm leaving for Portugal today, can't wait to be in the sun, see the beautiful seashore and stroll around in the old city. I will be doing a lot of writing, finishing some short stories I've started. Au revoire, à bientôt!

hello september

September already, it feels like summer just flew by. We didn't really had a great summer over here. More rain than sun and the city was quiet and boring. The last weeks of August felt like early Autumn really! Now with the first days of September, the sun is back. Feels like a new beginning.
The light hits the window. Everything is new.
I love this time of the year, the month between Summer and Autumn. The light is beautiful, colors change.
Eating cinnamon cookies, drinking tea, listening to Kings of Convenience.. and preparing myself for my trip to Porto, NEXT WEEK! Going for a writing exile, I started a few short stories, hope to finish them there.
I'll also be doing some writing both for this blog AND my NEW blog: COCO GREEN !

So more stories very soon.. :) Nice September everyone

Last sunday I had to DJ at Markt van Morgen - a local market where young designers sell their goodies.. NO I'm not a DJ.. but I might become one, who knows :) I just played songs I love. Going from The Kinks to Black Lips to Paradisio.. They gave me a coupon for a local vinyl store and I'm very tempted to buy records, just because they have nice covers :) not very professional, I know.. Don't judge a record by it's cover I guess..

Last sunday I went to my neighbourhood's flea market. Always love to stroll around and look at other's treasures. I found this nice shelve bracelet.

winter be gone

how long is this winter gonna last? they say it's the coldest winter in belgium for over 10 years. well that's cool. not to mention cold. i'm freezing! in the beginning i loved the snow, but it's march now, so the snowflakes can fly back to alaska already. last week the first sun came teasing us, i thought winter was over and started to put on spring clothes. thinking about the shoes i should get. but then this crazy wind came flying from the nord-east. according to my mum that wind comes straight from syberia and mum's are always right. syberia... i kid you not. anyway, i know winter has good sides too, like hot chocolates, cute scarfs and a good excuse for staying in and do nothing. but to be honest i'm starting to getting a bit bored with this, i'm so ready to soak up some sun. so ready for spring. the first blossoms coming out, sitting on my terrace, hearing birds sing, walk through the park. mmm. and spring clothes, like this outfit. i'm gonna buy some vintage hasbeens to wear with socks :) winter be gone please, see you next year.
